Coffee Machine Error Codes

coffee bean to cup repair

All the bean-to-cup coffee machines can display error codes. Some more often than others, some more useful than others. Usually an coffee machine error code is just that, a code. Meaningless letter and numbers that need decoding. Without decoding the error code you wonโ€™t know what is wrong and therefore what to change/top-up/clean/replace or fix.

Error Codes grouped by manufacturer. We are planning to add more codes as the crop up in the course of running or machines. Hopefully you can use the error codes to bring your coffee machine back online to produce delicious coffee.

Error E01 โ€“ Coffee cover wonโ€™t open.

Open the front flap and carefully wipe clean the upper section of the slider within the machine now available with the cover open. It is the coffee grinds fouling the smooth movement of the slider that should open and close easily. Close the cover and test the machine.

Error E02 โ€“ slider wonโ€™t close.

Similar to above but the same slider is very jammed in the open position. It needs a good clean. If it is wet, leave it 24 hours to dry fully and the smooth movement of the slider should return. Close the front flap and test the machine.

There is a walk through for the above errors available on youtube that may be of assistance to you.

Delonghi

Magnifica S

Red triangle with a red exclamation mark. Wonโ€™t make coffee. Try a full power cycle fault fix. There is a 0/1 switch on the rear of the coffee machine. Use this switch to power-cycle the machine โ€“ off then on. Check if the triangle has gone and coffee production has returned.
